Girl's birthdays....

OK so it is a couple of weeks since Amelia's birthday, but only one since Abbie's birthday....so not too bad:-) Anyway, Amelia turned 3 this year....I know I can't believe it has gone by so quickly. She is my baby but she is a big grown up girl now! We went to Watercolor for her birthday long weekend so you've seen all those pics below but here are a few others....
She has just realised that these presents are for her:-)
A "big girl" bike. We spent one afternoon in the cul-de-sac and she had it all figured out. Now she asks (and asks and asks and asks) to ride bikes every day:-)
The ice cream cake (tradition in our house) but it had to be blue as blue is her favorite color. I asked her why not pink as she obviously loves pink too and she told me it is Abbie's favorite color.....do you think there could be sharing issues somewhere in there?!?
Blowing out the candle - we had a 'singing' candle and so we had to light and blow out a few times (just til we were sure there were enough spit germs all over the cake!)
I think she enjoyed it:-)

OK so onto Abbie's birthday - and she had a birthday long weekend too (the boys think this is totally unfair and are protesting for whole birthday weekends when it's their next birthday!!). Her birthday was on a Saturday but we decided that she should have a party this year as she has never had one so we had a party for her on Friday afternoon......GIRL party!! There is a cute new place called Sweet and Sassy that has opened up not far from us and basically it is this kid 'spa' 'nails' 'hair' place. Anyway, you'll get the idea as you see the pictures. She had 15 girls come and it was VERY fun (and loud)!!
Getting her hair and 'makeup' done:-)
OK so none of the girls look too happy in the shot but really everyone was having fun (honest!!)

All the girls are done - they got to 'dress up' too. For all you England folk that is not just the way kids turn up to a birthday party over here:-)

They all got to walk down the catwalk - and good big sister that she is - Abbie took Amelia down with her!
We all learned some funky dance moves.....(yes I joined in too - this was a girl event, like I said!!)
Cake and presents afterwards (yes it's ice cream cake too...) and that is Jordan right behind me - the boys didn't want to miss out on cake so came for this part! Anyway, it was lots of fun - perfect 7 yr old girl birthday party. Great memory!
