Trains, taxi's, buses, the underground and plain old fashioned walking....we did it all...

It is so weird to feel like a tourist in your home country, but I totally felt (and acted) like one....ooohhing and aaahhhing over all the sites and the old buildings and cobbled streets and red buses and yes even the phone boxes.....(sorry, I couldn't help it!!)
And of course it is beautiful and green and lush (which we don't see tons of out here in the desert). We totally lucked out on the weather (just one morning of drizzly rain) and even got to spend a sunny hour laying on the grass in St James Park (and there I was bemused by the deck chairs set out in Hyde Park the day before)
Andrew and I got to have lots of fun together....exploring London, visiting the site of one of our first dates (St Martin-in-the-Fields), trying fun restaurants, and an incredible night out at the Natural History Museum (a night never to forget!!)
My lovely sister Amy also came down to see me and we got to do some fun sister stuff and also squeezed in an amazing show of Wicked at The Apollo Victoria (how aptly named). Amy's best friend was Glinda the Witch and we met up with her later....I did ask her to sign my program and Amy was most embarrassed....(sorry.... that tourist thing rearing it's head again!!)

Andrew actually was there to work....and he (and everyone else) did a great job. It was an epic event at the O2 arena!!

Great place, great people, great memories!!
