Amelia is SO proud of herself (and I am proud of her too!!)....she learned how to ride a two wheeler this week....it's actually all thanks to Charlie and Lola (see TV is not all bad) She was watching the episode where Lola learned to ride her bike and stood up and said "I want to do that" and then bugged and bugged Andrew to take off her training wheels.....and then bugged and bugged me to take her outside and help her.
I have to admit the first time she tried it didn't go so well.....she was wobbling all over the place and could just not find her balance and I think it kinda freaked her out.....after about 10 mins of struggling she said "ok I'm done" and came inside....
But thanks to the magic of technology and recorded TV we watched the Charlie and Lola episode again the next day and out we went to try again....and this time she just got it and off she flew.....she was a pro within minutes. It just seemed to click and she would ride and ride in a straight line, stop , turn around and ride right back......she has since mastered all the tricks of turning around in a circle, going up and down curbs and letting go with one hand.....AND yes, she does wear a helmet and is really good about putting it on:)
